Geologic Information
Found on the island of Sulawesi in Indonesia, the large yellow clasts in this material are likely the original rock that was fractured through tectonic processes. Those fractures were then filled with hot hydrothermal fluid bearing high quantities of silica - as that fluid cooled, the silica was deposited as gemmy chalcedony and quartz.
