Hi, I’m Adam. I’m a geologist and lapidary with a lifelong interest in how the Earth works and what it produces.

I started Earth & Hammer to share stones that I find genuinely compelling; not just because they’re beautiful (although that always helps), but because of how they formed and what they’ve been through. I care about structure, color, and precision, and I’d rather make fewer things well than produce a lot of forgettable ones.

Every stone has a history measured in millions or billions of years. Cutting is my way of making that history visible — revealing patterns, color, and geometry that were locked inside the material long before I ever touched it.
