Care & Setting
Pinolith is a soft stone (Mohs hardness = ~3.5-4.5) so will do well set in a piece that is protected from bumps and knocks like a pendant or sealed with a protective coating.

Geologic Information
Until recently found only in a single deposit in Austria, Pinolith (also known as Pinolite) is a metamorphic rock composed of white magnesite (MgCO3) in a dolomite and graphite matrix.
