Kambaba Jasper Pendant - 91 carats

Big beautiful pendant made from Kambaba Jasper (also known as Crocodile Jasper). Shaped vaguely like a conch shell, this is a really interesting (and hefty) piece! With lots of little orbs, veins, and healed fractures, this freeform pendant will make a wonderful centerpiece for a wire wrapping project or electro-formed piece.

Geologic Information

Found in Madagascar and generally accepted to be sedimentary in origin, Kambaba or Crocodile Jasper is a believed to be composed of fossilized blue-green algae known as stromatolites but recent research has suggested that is actually a rhyolite (volcanic rock).
